who is this scheme intended for?

This grant scheme is open to cultural institutions that contribute to the high quality, development and professionalization of design, architecture or digital culture and the crossovers between them, and encourage interest in these disciplines nationally and internationally.

exclusion from other grant schemes

Institutions which receive subsidy on the basis of this grant scheme are not eligible for other Creative Industries Fund NL subsidies during the implementation of the programme, with the exception of the open calls which fall under the Actieprogramma Ruimtelijk Ontwerp.

The assessment of applications takes place on the basis of the Four-year Institutional Grant Scheme for the Creative Industry 2021-2024. This describes the conditions, criteria and objectives.

what is assessed?

Applications are assessed by the scheme’s advisory committee. This is done on the basis of the Four-year Institutional Grant Scheme for the Creative Industry 2021-2024.

assessment criteria

- artistic quality
- innovation of the discipline, (practices in) the sector, or society
- participation of existing and new audiences and increasing the social relevance of the institution
- responsible management and governance

what happens with your application?

acceptance

When you have submitted your application, the Fund Desk will check if your application complies with the formal requirements of the Four-year Institutional Grant Scheme for the Creative Industrie 2021-2024.

assessment

An independent advisory committee will assess your application on the basis of the Four-year Institutional Grant Scheme for the Creative Industry 2021-2024. The committee advises the Fund's Board.

prioritization

If the total of applications eligible for funding exceeds the budget of the grant round available, prioritization will take place.

decision

The Board takes account of the committee’s advice in its decision on rejection or provision of the grant. You will be notified about the result in a decision.

accountability

If you receive a grant from the Fund, then you will have to comply with the obligations. Two weeks before the conclusion of your project, you will be asked by email to submit your accountability form in the application environment.

supporting measures covid-19

Additional subsidy resources have been made available for the institutions supported by the Creative Industries Fund NL for several years as part of the minister’s support package in response to the COVID-19 outbreak. These funds are intended to partly compensate for the loss of income as a result of the covid crisis. The aim of the support package is to maintain the vital chain components in the Dutch cultural infrastructure, in order to preserve the unique Dutch artistic product and to guarantee employment in the cultural and creative sector. The distribution of these resources is regulated in the Regeling aanvullende ondersteuning meerjarig gesubsidieerde instellingen COVID-19 V. The subsidy ceiling is € 1,263,600.
