Tivon Rice participates in GLOBAL CONTROL, the 3rd Open Fields conference in the framework of the RIXC Art Science Festival 2018. He presents his project “The Voices of Nandimul X” and is part of a panel discussion. The project “The Voices of Nandimul X” creatively explores a Machine Learning system, being trained to emulate the voice of science fiction author J.G. Ballard. The language model describes images of mysterious landscapes and hallucinates about Ballards artistic style, recalling his many critiques of modernism. The conference is taking place in the National Library of Latvia between 13 and 15 September 2018.

During the Web Audio Conference, organised by Technical University Berlin and SoundCloud in collaboration with Furtwangen University Berlin, Jan Misker and Jacques van de Veerdonk present their Watch That Sound project. With the project they have developed developed an innovative process of media education to offer an approachable method for anyone to sample sound and music.

HARDEMAN launches the collection 'SPRINGBREAK' as part of NYFW in September 2018. Next to the design, HARDEMAN creates a visual world that sustains the collection. Inspired by 'normal clothing' she gives a fresh look on everyone's favourite wardrobe. The presentation is organised in collaboration with EB Consults and Underpin PR and takes place on 9 September in White Box Gallery.
